During a Latch Evaluation, our IBCLCs will:
Assess Baby’s Positioning
Ensure your baby is in the best position for effective feeding.
Evaluate Latch Depth
Check if your baby is taking in enough of the breast for comfort and milk transfer.
Observe Milk Transfer
Determine how effectively your baby is extracting milk and identify any barriers.
Address Parent Comfort
Resolve any pain, nipple damage, or discomfort during feeding.
